An overall healthy lifestyle involves finding balance in all things physical, mental and spiritual pertaining to health. I read an incredible E-Book (which you can find down below) the other day making me realize just how important it is in life to find that balance.
It may be hard in the busy lives we live to find any sort of balance, but as long as you are placing forth that effort today it will make each successive choice and sacrifice easier. “After a while all of that effort will pay off in true physical balance.”
The book goes on to say how important regular exercise, including cardio and strength training are for your physical health. It doesn’t stop there though. You cannot just exercise like crazy and think all your health problems will be solved; it involves “finding that balance”. Proper diet and proper sleep are going to be the other significant factors to complete the balance.
Health is like a balanced weight, you have to have all factors or your life with be off-balanced. Or like the book refers it, “the same way that a recipe needs different ingredients to make it delicious; we too need to be living a balanced life physically, emotionally, and spiritually.”
There will be times in life when one needs more attention than the others, “but in the long run we [need to] improve ourselves not just in one but all aspect of our lives.” Finding that balance helps you not only be healthier, but happier as well. “When we start focusing too much on one aspect of our lives, everything else seems to tumble down around us.”
