The machines offered a great full body workout and popped up in living rooms all over. Eventually the novelty of the skier machines wore off a little and the company started diversifying. Today they produce a full line of ellipticals and now their treadmills are some of the hottest sellers on the market. Innovation:
NordicTrack is known for their innovation and all of the luxurious technologies they put into their fitness equipment. From a flat screen TV to built in speakers and a subwoofer, these treadmills come fully equipped with entertainment options. They also come with extras to help your workout, including odometer miles, custom personal trainer workouts, and carb counters. The best part is even several of their lower end models come equipped with these features. So you don\'t have to spend the big bucks to still get a great treadmill.

Warranties:
Nordic Track puts some really nice motors and parts into their equipment. It really shows how much confidence the company has in their equipment by the warranty that backs them up. Most Nordic Track treadmills come with a lifetime motor warranty. Since the motor can be an expensive part of the treadmill to fix, it shows me that they are willing to stand behind their stuff.

Cushioning:
Nordic track has greatly improved the cushioning systems on their treadmills. Their cushioning has been proven to reduce the impact from 28 to 33% as compared to road running. And most models offer adjustable cushioning so different users can choose how much cushioning they want to run on. Last but not least, Nordic Track has their famous Reflex deck cushioning. This isn't offered on every treadmill but it is an amazing jump forward in the right direction. It is also one of the highest user rated cushioning systems on the market.

iFit:
iFit technology was created by ICON several years ago, but has changed a lot over the years. iFit is a program that provides you with workouts designed by personal trainers that take you step by step through workouts - it even adjust your treadmill or elliptical automatically so you don't have to do anything. iFit first started with CD's then it went to SD cards, and now with iFit Live it is done through wifi. This new technology is like no other and could revolutionize the fitness world. That being said, it is very new and we haven't heard much feedback from customers. How it works is you fill out a personal profile on iFit and sign up you machine and your treadmill and profile will communicate with one another, and in the end produce personalized workouts based on previous workouts and your ultimate goal. Workouts will be downloaded to your computer daily waiting for you to jump on. Also, with iFit live you will be able to run anywhere in the world with Google maps. Your treadmill will follow the terrain based on Google's data and act as if you were running the actual terrain.
